Our Facility

logo iconSavvy13Our objective at Escondido Equestrian Center is to provide a boarding environment where your horse is well cared for and happy. Horses are fed three times daily to better meet their grazing needs, pens are cleaned daily, and there is a selection of large pens and turnouts available so your horse has room to roam.

We invite and welcome all equine disciplines to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and variety of amenities. As we grow the natural horsemanship community at Escondido Equestrian Center, look for clinics and workshops to help you with your horsemanship needs. In the meantime, we are open to working with you to meet your needs. If you have a desire that is not currently available, please bring it to our attention so we can attempt to accommodate your horse. The following services are available for an additional fee: shavings, grooming/blanketing, turnout, and vehicle parking. Owner provided supplements are fed at no additional charge.

We've reserved the first Saturday of every month to dedicate time and increase our knowledge of natural horsemanship, as awesomely presented by Pat and Linda Parelli and Parelli Natural Horsemanship™:

Love, language and leadership, in equal doses!

The morning Vision Group will watch a PNH instructional DVD, participate in discussions, and practice simulations. At the afternoon Play Day, we will make full use of the Playland area built by Parelli™ Professional Cindy Giannini, and her husband, Mike. With the many natural and man-made obstacles in Playland, the large arenas, and round pen, you will have endless ways to put the PNH principles into practice.

Whatever your level, there are always new savvy arrows to be picked up and put in your savvy quill. Light bulb moments are so much fun, whether the light bulb is going on for you or whether you have helped flip the switch for another PNH student. We can all help each other to go from good to better to best.

Here is the schedule for the first Saturday Vision Group and Play Days:

Vision Group - 10:00 a.m. to Noon
PNH Instructional DVD

Lunch Break - Noon to 1:00 p.m.
Bring a sack lunch for you and your equine partner

Play Day - 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Practice new savvy arrows you learned in the Vision Group or make your own plan in Playland.

There is no charge for participating in the Vision Group and only a $20 grounds fee to bring your partner to the Play Day. (The grounds fee is waived for horses boarded at Escondido Equestrian Center; pipe corrals are available for use of guests.) Horses must be current on vaccinations and negative Coggins is required for out-of-state horses. All participants for the Play Day must sign the attached liability release; you can complete it and return it via e-mail prior to March 2 or one will be provided here for your signature.

As a courtesy to all participants, please plan on arriving early so you can get settled in and be ready to go at the scheduled start times. There'll be a pot of coffee or hot cup of tea waiting for those who RSVP!
